Ubuntu couldn’t detect my wireless card, after 40 min of struggling I installed LinuxMint, which worked flawlessly from the beginning. I can’t understand how a “newbie user” oriented distro can fail in such a basic thing, and I don’t care about explanations regarding propietary drivers or whatnot, just as any other “newbie user” wouldn’t care.
